The White Flag Shelter of Southern Indiana
The White Flag Shelter is a true partnership between the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana and Nomad Church Collective. The Shelter operates from November 15 – April 15th, offering overnight shelter for those in need during the coldest months of the year. If temperatures fall below 35 degrees during the evening hours, the shelter will open.
We need volunteers to cook/provide dinner, oversee check-in/check out, do laundry, help clean, and simply spend time relating with guests. Volunteer shifts include evening, overnight, and morning.

Ask their name, where they’re from. Listen to their story. This is a launch-pad to friendship, which is often the very thing people are desperate for.
